Exactly. As just one example, the white collar embezzler who stole $35k from his employer, or insider trader, isn't likely to start running around sticking up gas stations. I don't think they pose any valid public safety threat by retaining their 2A rights.

:iagree: I know a guy, known him 8 years or so, my dad knew him since 1990s, who (story was something like this, I don't recall exactly) was with people who broke into a closed out of business restaurant or something when he was 18, did his probation since then he's married had kids bought a house... responsible fellow. Can't say I'd trust his brother etc, but he turned out well. His good wife inquired about HER getting a CHL and how to store HER gun if she gets one ...considering HIS felony conviction of 30 years ago... they may try to get expunged
