pfft...a slide rule yields logarithmic precision with an analog device. When your batteries die in your calculator, you'll be grateful you know how to use a slide rule!

Well, of course they do, but the young guys who write these silly things probably never saw one and have no idea, just about like writing stories about dinosaurs or horseless carriages or something.
I live in a gated community and they have an electronic sign out front (ugghh I think its ugly) that they use to flash various "informative" messages. Just last night She who shall not be named and I were pulling up after work and I saw the latest sign and it said "No Trespassing, No Sales and No Handbills" I turned to her and said "You know we are amongst the older end of the population here and I seriously doubt any one has a clue what a "handbill" even is!"

I guess I am getting old. Heck I still have a rotary dial phone... and an 8track player!!! :smilelol5:
