Went by yesterday and it was really busy. Snapped up the last three 9mm 115 gr new house brand ammo ($18 per box). Plenty of the 9mm reman on shelves individual boxes and cases. They had 100 round Winchester WB of .45 ACP, but for $53 a box. Ouch. Ended up getting a box of the .45 and the last three boxes of the new Freedom Munitions 9mm. No house brand .45 in house that I was able to see.

I was there today, and they had plenty of stock of 9mm, .40, .45, 5.56, and 7.62. They actually had multiple bullet weights available for 9mm range ammo, which I was beginning to get a little concerned about (I needed some heavier loads for breaking in the recoil spring on a new H&K P30L, and all that I had on hand was 115 grain)

I won't say that the prices were fabulous....but far better than anywhere else I know of that has much of anything in stock - and they were good enough that I picked up1000 rounds.

Planning on trying to make it there while in town for the NRA.

I work about 15 minutes from the store. I have given up calling to check stock. As you noticed yesterday, they stay busy and there's usually only 2 or 3 guys working there. Their stock changes often so I just stop in once every couple of weeks on different days and see what's there. Last time I was in, they had no 9mm but plenty of 45 remanufactured. If you're coming to Houston periodically, it's worth a stop to check.

as of yesterday, they had what looked to be around 100-120 500rd boxes of reman 45.
prices aren't stellar considering it is reman, but i've yet to have any issues with any of their ammo, in anything.

also, compared to most company's nearly double the price for JHP, theirs are only about 20-25% higher than range.

i have some extra factory load 9mm, 40(lots), and 45...that i can sell for a lil more than their reload prices...

It might be that their website shopping cart system is not connected to their Point of Sale system, so the actual inventory in store doesn't get updated to the inventory available online unless someone goes in and enters it manually. When ammo moves in and out of a store more slowly, you can get away with a disconnected system and do manual inventory updates. But when the ammo is sold almost as fast as they can obtain it, they would not be able to stay on top of the website.

The default settings for most cart systems that operate separately from a seller's in-store POS system are set to disallow the sale of anything the system believes is "out of stock." But most of these systems also give the the store owner the ability to override that default setting for individual products so that they are either shown as always in stock, or so that they allow the purchase of backordered items.

All three settings for a cart system which is not connected to the POS system have their pitfalls, but the cost of having a connected system is much higher than not having one, and small businesses have to make their decisions accordingly.

I was pleasantly surprised to find plenty of bullets for reloading last weekend. Not bargain prices, but availability, period, is welcome right now.

Edit: to be specific, no shortage of 9mm in various weights, and .40. Didn't check on rifle bullets.

I haven't found .45 or 9mm in stock on their website for several weeks now. I just assumed they moved to in store sales only.

On another note, they are now one of my favorite companies because while they are not in line with pre crisis pricing per se, they at least seem to have a lot of stock in store and I was able to still afford to walk out with a few hundred rounds of two calibers without feeling a huge pinch.

Maybe that's why their pricing is on the high side - yikes! That's a long way to ship.

Maybe they should move to Shiner?
