Just wondering what the process is for announcing meetings.
This one was not on the schedule when I checked yesterday morning.

Hopefully something good will come out of it...

Article, written seven days ago:
Note, not all the restriction below are accurate. For example, hospitals and Place of worship are legal to carry unless duly posted with a valid 30.06 sign.
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Texas bars and sporting events, from the state high school basketball tournament to a Sunday afternoon game at Dallas Cowboys Stadium, would be open to concealed handgun license holders to carry their weapons under a bill pending before a House panel.

The measure by Rep. Drew Springer, R-Muenster, effectively would roll back most of the state's restrictions on where Texas' more than 500,000 concealed handgun license holders can carry their weapons. Current law bans concealed weapons at sporting events, amusement parks, bars, hospitals, nursing homes, colleges, schools and places of worship.

It seems like Joe Strauss is the reason most of these pro-gun bills aren't advancing. Is that accurate? And I believe he is rated A by the NRA and TSRA? If so, his rating should be lowered. There's a time for playing nice. I'd say we're past that point.

Yes. viewtopic.php?f=125&t=62468" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The same was true in 2011, BTW.
