Have you tried Xoom? I chose an apartment with electricity included, but I know some people who have gotten a good deal through there.

Have switched many times depending on price but lately Bounce Energy has been the best deal for me and they give a bunch of freebies. I just renewed with them.

When looking at electricity carriers avoid the month to month or 3 month deals. I have friends in the business and they are all locking into 3 year contracts as they believe electricity is about to climb for the foreseeable future.
TriEagle has a 3 year plan at 8.9¢ per KW plus $4.95 monthly fee. Works out to about 9¢ per KW average for 2000 KW a month.

Cirro is 9.5 with a 12-month lock if your delivery is from Oncor (which I believe is correct)

Moving to Irving and hopefully some of you can answer some questions:
1. Well the most important first, what is a good range in Irving.
2. Any local gun shops, like mom and pop places.
3. I plan on replacing the floors, is there like a city dump to take the old removed caper to?
4. I currently have TXU anyone recommend a better electric company?
Anything else I need to know please chime in, I have a lot to learn about home ownership m

(1) Elm Fork on NW Highway and Southwest Gun Range on Division (Main) in Grand Prairie are the 2 closest
(2) I ususally go to Pioneer Gun shop in Bedford. They used to be in Irving and have recently changed owners. Southwest also sells guns and ammo, just not as large of a selection
(3) City dump is on Hunter Ferrell. From your location go south on MacArthur past Shady Grove to Hunter Ferrell and turn right. Its on your right about 1/2 mile down
(3) We recently (about a year ago I was just informed) went with Reliant. On a 3 year contract they gave us 7.8 cents per kwh
Enjoy your home. As others have said, put away some money for future repairs. As a side note and from personel experience, you might want to look into flood insurance. If you have an interior leak, i.e. water heater, broken pipe, most regular homeowners policies won't cover the water damage.
Learn to become a handy man, gardner, plumber, and electrician and do these things while you can. If you are married, and your wife is like mine, expect to change the decor about every 5-7 years.
Now, to keep this gun related, find the time to get a plan of action for different defensive scenario's. Practice them on a regular basis with the whole family. And get an early warning system (dog).

We got lucky a while back and locked in a 5.9c kWh for 2 years. Love it! The freebies are a nice touch when combined with low rates compared to TXU.

Those are good deals and I get deals like that from suppliers at work. However, be prepared for that big jump at the end of that deal when they pump you up to where everyone else has increased to in that time period.

Great Southwest Gun on Main Street in Grand Prairie is where I go (I live in GP). They're cheap, and if you have to wait for a lane to open it's usually a very short wait.. Most I've waited is 10 mins. They also have guns, bows, ammo, and accessories to check out while you wait.
(As well as gun rentals)
