Better than the train vs pedestrian call that went out one night when I was working for the PD in college. I wish I could unsee those photos.

It seems quite often that people stop on or very near the tracks. I wish they understood how dangerous this is. I make it a point to stop well short of the tracks. The train always wins.

I have been told that when a vehicle collides with a train, though it's almost always the fault of the vehicle, the railroad companies usually throw a cash settlement out to avoid a lawsuit.
So if you have an old clunker and the gummint won't give you any money to turn it in.........
