Yeah... I fired Square as well. Sent them a nasty-gram and got the same cookie cutter response that many of you received. Will be using gopai for future transactions. Plan to fire PayPal in the near future as well.

I have also fired Square and sent a nastygram. I didn't get quite the same cookie cutter response, but it sure didn't say anything useful or important.
I have signed up with PayAnywhere.com, and may be signing up with PAI as well to integrate with GunBroker and my website.
I had an account issue when setting up PayAnywhere, so I called them. The rep I spoke with was nice, helpful AND thanked me for becoming a customer. They are 2A friendly and even have 24/7 technical support.
So long Square. Don't think I'll miss you!

I signed up for SparkPay from Capital One. Plan to fire Square as soon as I get my SparkPay reader. While I have no problem with a private enterprise deciding how it wants to operate, I sure don't have to support them. This reminded me that I need to give Progressive the boot on my commercial auto policy as well - because, cutesy ads notwithstanding, THAT particular illiberal liberal is dead set on destruction, not mere social engineering.

Guys,
I'd still file a Better Business Bureau complaint on them them. IT just takes a few minutes.
This is a breach of contract and its costing you money to make the change.
I'd also complain to the Texas Attorney General's office.

They changed the TOS on established users. That is a breach of contract. The little boiler plate about changing TOS when they see fit is just a smokescreen.
They USED you to establish their business model, then dumped you when convenient.
Punch back twice as hard. Cost them the extra amount of time they cost you. Call the BBB and the Texas AG.
And as for emails to them - they have an automated response system. You can to call and ask to speak to a supervisor and talk to them.
And as for their business model - they are just a reseller for one of the big payment vendors. Anyone here know who the big vendor is?
