I go through a few small towns and cops there look for a reason to pull you over, I don't want to give them one. First and only time Ive ever been pulled over was in a small town.RoadRunnerTR21 wrote:Given where I live, that would be just one more reason for our local LEO to pull you over and snoop. The last time I got pulled over was because my license plate light "was just not quite bright enough". Yeah right.

Perry has until the 14th to sign it - or if he ignores it it becomes lawH.B. 625 (Harper-Brown/Carona) – License Plates: reenacts the provision making it a
misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $200 to operate a vehicle without the required
license plates. (Note: Legislation in a past session inadvertently removed a section of law that
set a fine for operating a vehicle without license plates. That removal made it unclear whether a
peace officer could cite a person or operating a vehicle without a front (or even rear) license
plate. This bill simply goes back to the law before the inadvertent repeal.) (Effective September
1, 2013.)

Third that. I was doing exactly the speed limit when I was stopped. He warned me on the plate and also a missing rear brake light. Speed was not an issue.RoadRunnerTR21 wrote:I'll second that. When the LEO pulled me over I was on cruise control doing 55 in a 55. He had to use the lame license plate light excuse as his justification. My SIL was behind me that night and the LEO pulled up on him first. Then passed him and pulled me over. When we got back to the house we put the trucks side by side with the lights on. They were both identical.nightmare69 wrote:Purplehood wrote:I found that by slowing down and observing the speed-limit in small towns I can avoid tickets.
It wasn't for speeding, it was for my LEGAL window tint. The meter this cop used was not calibrated properly, I fought the ticket and won in court. I brought the paperwork showing the tint was legal and brought a buddy who does state inspections. We walked out into the parking lot and he used his meter and it was legal. Judge dismissed the ticket.
Not everyone who gets pulled over in a small town is speeding, nice try though.
