Once proof of citizenship is required I predict the significance of the so-called 70/30 Dem/GOP "Hispanic" vote ratio will be greatly diminished. I suspect that once safeguards are in place to prevent NON U.S. citizens from voting the "Hispanic" ratio will be revealed to be more like 50/50.
I base my assumption on personal observations regarding my wife's LARGE extended "Hispanic" family throughout Texas - who are conservative, and vote GOP.

All the Hispanics I've known and worked with have been fairly conservative, some very much anti-welfare. One of my Hispanic neighbors absolutely hates Obama and what he's doing to the country. However, the left, apparently with the cooperation of supposed "Republicans," is never going to allow any safeguards to be placed. Every time this issue has come up the supposed "safeguards" have been a fake-out. The left needs lots of third world immigrants to dismantle the country.
