Future government employees for when we have nationalized health care.

The inmates are running the asylum.

There is only one good thing to say about this program and that is that at least they are going to pick the cream of the crop as students and not what they have been doing, taking poorly qualified students to meet "quotas" and turning out a bunch of dumb doctors. Perhaps they are really doing this to improve the IQ of their classes, knowing that so many of their US students are really only in medical school because they are in some affirmative action program. You have to delve deeper into these stories sometimes to find the real reason. Let's say they have 100 positions per year, they take 80 smart students and 20 affirmative action but not so bright students. Or, they can take 80 smart students and 20 really smart (but undocumented) students. Now they have 100 really smart kids. And once those students get out if they are illegal (or whatever is pc) they will become citizens ( and probably republicans). And the school can brag that they are offering diversity when in actuality they are really doing what they should do, only take the cream of the crop. Just my thought.

There is not a shred of intent in this to pick the cream of the crop. This is all about giving something to illegals and denying something to citizens.

Diversity has never been about doing what is right.

Political correctness has never been about doing what is right.

When something is done to give advantages to someone with the perceived intent of correcting a wrong a deserving person is denied.

This is wrong in so many ways.

My oldest son graduated from high school #10 in his class. My youngest son graduated #7 in his class. Both of them combined received $500.00 in scholarships.

The University of Texas Admissions department person in charge of scholarships told me to my face that I was too white and made too much money to qualify my son for scholarships.

But, if you had the choice of admitting poorly qualified pc correct students that were citizens or extremely qualified immigrants that will almost certainly become citizens which would you choose? As a matter of fact, if you were the patient, which one would be your doctor? The affirmative action doc that pushed out a bunch of well qualified non-pc students from getting into med school or the illegal immigrant that graduated top of his class in med school and was now a citizen? Sometimes we have to think about whether there might be more to the story than the punchline. In actuality though you are probaby right, the school is sucking up to some federal program to generate money and it is all a sham that degrades well deserving US students from having those seats in the class.

I fixed part of your post and I appreciate your response; however, I stand by my post because based on my experience my assertions are more correct than any argument thrown up against it.

Illegals got free healthcare before Obamacare. Yea, under both Bush Jr and Bush Sr.
It hasn't changed no matter what political party controlled congress or the presidential office.

Well, if you want to get right down to it, the greatest perpetrator of ushering in progressivist concepts (read that communist) was FDR and every single dumbocrat since then has had his "Great Experiment" for whatever socialist free gift government he could push through.

Yes, the GOP presidents have had their moments as well, but don't so readily object to statements againts the socialists because their wrongs FAR exceed the right they have accomplished, and at this point we have reached the realization that we can actually think back on slick willie and say "I want him back because he was not as bad as the jerk in the white house now."
