Our carry guns, and any non-stainless guns, get cleaned the same day, but other guns depend on the gun and how much it was shot, and how long since it was cleaned.
I used to be a "get every gun spick and span the same day guy", but I've got 3 shooters in the house, 2 more growing in the wings, and I'm the only real cleaner, so I had to prioritize.
I clean the guns while the wife holds/plays/feeds the baby, and the 7yr old isn't a very effective cleaner yet.

The Mosin-Nagant 91/30 and M44 get cleaned immediately after shooting, due to the corrosive milsurp ammo. I do this at the range as soon as I'm done shooting.
The Marlin Model 60 only gets cleaned about every 3 trips.
My PA-63 gets the same treatment as the MN rifles, so that it's always ready when needed.

I clean and lube my guns every time I shoot.. and I try to do it immediately after coming home from the range. I would figure that they are at least a little bit easier to clean while still "warm".

My regiment also.
No matter how tired I am, I always clean ASAP after shooting. My daily carry gets cleaned and lubed once a month if not shot beforehand.

Period....
If I have 3 or 4 I may give a stainless wheel gun a quick wipe down & really clean it tomorrow. But that is rare.
Cleaned 3 last night.
After shooting today (aint vacations fun) I will have at least 4 to clean.
It will happen before I go to bed.
I'll vouch for that. After shooting yesterday and today and watched
LT clean our guns. I've decided my gun hasn't been cleaned
right
since I bought it from him. You would have thought he was a jeweler
cleaning a fine Rolex watch. No kidding.

I clean my Karr P9 after shooting, Run a bore snake to it and then wipe it down thoroughly, Then grease the slides.
