The Blue Force Gear sling that was designed by Larry Vickers, VCAS, is what I have and I am very pleased with it.

The non-padded look simpler and maybe even easier to adjust, but if one has to have one draped on the body for very long the padded ones would (I would guess) be a heck of lot more comfortable.
So, my question is: Is the padded one more to difficult to adjust?
Thanks!

I have both and don't see any difference in adjustment ease.

Mine is not. There is no adjusting where the pad is when attached to the rifle.

I won't run a non padded sling. My optic is too heavy and I'm a weenie.

I have two slings:
1) Magpul MS3 Multi-mission QD Single-point to Two-point sling
2) Vickers padded 2 point sling (VTAC)
I like the MS3 sling for the single point capability during transitions between right and left hands and overall maneuverability. The single point is not great however for carrying as the rifle swings too much in front. The MS3 can convert to a two point sling, which is nice for less dynamic situations and stable carry. However, I wish it was padded and rapidly adjusted in length like the VTAC 2 point.
The VTAC is very comfortable for the padded sling and the rapid length adjustment. However, I wish it had a single point conversion capability.

This little adapter enables the VTAC to have single point functionality and make it the ideal sling for me.
1) two to one point sling functionality
2) padded
3) rapid length adjustment
