I'm a little late to the party but I picked up a 709 Slim a couple of weeks ago and I'm really liking it. The trigger on mine is really nice and the adjustable sights are a nice thing to have on such a small gun. I'm waiting on a holster so that I can add it to my EDC rotation. I trust it.

I've had a Taurus PT92 for a while longer and have a couple hundred through that as my "fun gun" and it is one of my favorites.

I paid $325 out the door with one magazine at Academy for the Slim and while I knew I wanted it, I frankly was shocked by how much I have come to like it.

Here's mine -

Although spare mags for the 709 are rare as unicorns these days, they will eventually make it back to the shelves. The addition of the Pearce magazine pinky extension is a worthy purchase. I tried the Hogue grips, but ended up giving them away at the range..

I've had my Millennium PT140 for 11 years, the only problem I've had was that the captive recoil spring broke year 10 after 1000s of rounds. My only experience with Taurus CS was that it took them 3 times to get me the correct part. Apparently they've have everything computerized up to 10 years ago and I fell out side of that. All shipments and parts they paid for with no grief from me, some what contrary to their CS policy which is if the gun's a year old they'll cover parts price and price to ship the parts or the price to ship the gun to them. If it's over 1 year old it's your dime. There have been some rumblings on the forum referenced above that Taurus has recently (last weeks or so) changed their parts availability now where most internal parts they won't ship to you, rather you have to send them the gun and we all know that isn't exactly cheap.

I also have a PT809 that I like but since I duracoated it I self voided all warranty which kind of sucks but it's what I wanted to do...
