I think you need to clarify the status of the charge. Since you never received any papers confirming that you completed probation, your charge might still be open. There could even be warrants for your arrest. Since they are misdemeanor warrants, they could not be served across state lines.

And I never trust the fact that you were cleared on a NICS check. The warrants might not have been reported to the FBI for the same reason they are not reported to Texas.

And, since you will need certified copies of the disposition anyway, you might as well do it now and get it ready. It could save a lot of problems later on.

I got the ball rolling in ATL. So far, they cannot find the case (go figure).

Also, I did a quick warrant search... no records.

You will need a certified copy saying no record was found. Read on you CHL application under supplemental information.

Congratulaitons. My guess is they saw the recless driving, didn't worry about the Class C at all, background check showed no issues, so they cleared you. I wouldn't worry about the disposition now other than knowing what the status is for future reference.
