Here's the dashcam video

Listen to the LEO when he gets back to the cruiser w/GZ docs. Listen for the camera click and text message being typed and sent.

Privacy violaation!
Only on this forum does a warning by a leo still turn into this. He could have cited gz and obtained his autograph. How is that a privacy issue..if gz is in public his photo can be taken. An officer can send a msg to keep stuff off the radio, tell his partner, dispatch ect who he stopped. That is all public info just as tmz has shown by airing the video. Heck if he is residing in their area it is good to know what he is driving since there is a bounty on his head and leos will be the ones called if something happens. That is called intelligence :cheers2:

It's just plain sorry. To the officer and department... great job keeping it quiet- you guys stink. This poor guy has lots of enemies who want to lynch him and the PD releases the video that allows anyone to ID his vehicle and his recent whereabouts. I expect to see dashcam video of every stop released now because this is now "ordinary"? What a bull move and crappy bunch of people they are.

Have you heard of Public information? Because that is what all dash cam footage is. All anyone has to do is fill out a request and they have to release it. So speaking of a bull move.....

So, out of curiosity, as only the police and Z new of the stop, who asked for the video to be released? Who else would know it took place besides those two parties? You think Z asked for it to be released?

Yeah, but to file a PIR, you have to suspect/know that the incident you're asking about took place. Who in their right mind would suspect that George Zimmerman had gotten pulled over for speeding in Texas........UNLESS THE LEO SHARED THE INFORMATION WITH HIS BUDDIES? Sans that, he's just another shlub getting a ticket by the side of the road to anybody who drives by. Nobody in Tarrant County realistically knew what he drives, or that he was going to be in Tarrant County......and certainly nobody would have had any reason to fill out a PIR for a copy of the dashcam video.

G26ster beat me to posting that inconsistency by 3 minutes.

I always say release all the "polite" citizens so people see how it really is but nobody wamts to see the soccer mom, teacher or fire fighter acting in an umacceptable manner. We usually only see when somebody has an issie with the police or a media story such as this. In reality why should gz be any different? It is public info. Personqally for his sake i wish it was not known.

"Zimmerman, 29, who is white and Hispanic, was found not guilty of murder and manslaughter on July 13 in Florida after a racially charged trial in the shooting of Martin in February 2012. Thousands of people demonstrated across the United States after the verdict"

Next up, George, a white Hispanic who shot and killed Trayvon Martin in Florida and was found not guilty triggering protests all over the country, seen entering a bathroom at Chilis......

Lots and lots of people listen to police band radio. It's even available over the internet. It'd just take one person calling the media.

Heck, we're discussing it here!

No I'm sure someone talked and it most likely was the cop, because of course if Z had come into your place of business you wouldn't of told a soul, but anyone can make a request and get a copy of any dashcam footage with a request and a few bucks. All it takes is knowing what to ask for.

Well he was trashing the "cops" for releasing the vid not saying how dare the cop mention to someone that he pulled over Z but there are people who do listen to police scanners and would of heard his name and that is not privileged info and I dare say most people would of likely mentioned it to someone if Z had come into their place of work. So?
