Some conversation on talk radio this evening circled around the chick that was in his car starting the argument with the wife.

I have not confirmed that he has a girlfriend.

The state can press charges on a dv. It is also common for dv victims to change their statement after the fact. This will be interesting as i dont see the state letting it go with the mention of the gun unless they can prove she lied. The video will be interesting as well and you can be sure the media is probably already filing requests to get it.

I'm hearing a different account and not sure which is true. It was "Their" house, George and Shelly's, not her fathers. She had left and had previously come with her attorney on a different day to take an agreed upon list of items out of the house. She then came back latter with her dad to get more stuff. She never saw a gun he just had his hands where she believed his gun to be. They came to the house he was living and he ended up outside in his car? I don't know but I don't think we are getting told the whole story

new info

It seems the house may belong to SZ parents and G&S had been renting it. S had moved out already and Z was supposed to move out but hadn't done so yet. It seems he may have showed up when S and her dad came to remove more items? That would explain the IPad issue. The PD is reportedly saying they are not sure if G is a suspect or a victim. S's lawyer showed up right after the cops and S & her father stopped talking and refused to make any statements on advice of council. Police had to threaten warrant to get surveillance footage from the security system, threaten S and her dad that is, but why if G still lives their? Very strange

I have always heard that LEOs hate dealing with domestic disputes the most, as they can be unpredictable and full of he said/she said. This is the sort of thing I do not envy LEOs having to deal with in the very least.

Yep. Domestic disputes are many times full of exagerations and stretched truths. I think in this case she has realized she and the Dad may have been as much or more at fault in escalating the argument as GZ was. I hear that GZ has turned over the security camera footage to the police, so there shoud be evidence if he was the aggressor or not.

I agree with the Zimmerman verdict. However, I find it somewhat interesting the guy can't seem to stay out of the news. I know he is under microscopic scrutiny by the press and his detractors but come on. Wish he would lay low for a while and let things settle down.

Here's my beef with the media. People get stopped for speeding all the time. Some 2-3 times in a month. What's the big deal about the fact he got stopped that makes it news worthy? Same with domestic squabbles. I admit on that one he needs to play it cleaner than others, but divorces are messy and people get the cops called on arguments all the time. They need to just quit making a big deal out of his day to day things and let him be unless something really newsworthy happens.

Yeah, I agree. Just wish he would kind of fade into the woodwork for a while so the media won't have so much fodder to feed on.

I have a family member that gets stopped almost that often. Hope they don't decide to try to make some news out of him.

The thing is, he shouldn't have to. He was found innocent and they should let it be and quit hovering. The media are nothing but a bunch of vultures at times, waiting for the time to pick the bones clean. :mad5

Right now, George Zimmerman could cough in public and it would be on the 5 o'clock news. The poor man is a public figure, now, and each and every time he does something that the average person could do and not raise anyone's eyebrows will bring a sensationalist news piece about how George Zimmerman, recently found innocent of 2nd degree murder in Florida... yadda yadda yadda.

I do a lot channel surfing during commercials and Headline News (CNN) had every show from 7PM to 10PM on this incident. Nancy Grace, Dr Drew, & HLN Late Night.
