Having actually fired a Judge with buckshot I'll say this * * * Anyone who can go through fifty rounds of .410 buckshot in a CHL proficiency demonstration is a much tougher person than me.
I haven't experienced recoil like that even in .44 Magnum and .50 AE.

You'd have to use the 45lc, but good luck. Depending on barrel length it's not tremendously accurate, and I'm a fan.
It's a great truck / anti car jacking gun especially with Winchester PDX rounds....

If they put every hole in the 5 zone then they are good. However, typical scoring is to count points down from 250, and flyers into the 3 point zone (or zero) seem more likely with #00 out of a short rifled barrel, than with slugs or FMJ.

I have someone with a Judge coming to my October class and explained to them they had to use the .45 ammo, however if they preferred I would have several 9mm to loan or they can rent a gun at the range.
correct that as of September they can take the test with a Auto or a Revolver and still carry either.
