No but heard on the radio this morning the Gov't is looking into the security of malls now. They can't even stop it on a naval base how they going to do anything in a mall.

'Soft' targets have always been places of interest to terrorists. Anywhere you can get multiple casualties and have little to no resistance is a plus for them. They also get lots of attention in the media, and put the fear into people to not frequent the places. This then hits the economy as sales drop off and they win again.

I avoid crowded mall like that one in Grapevine,TX. It is nightmare, so crowded, and the evacuation plans are horrible. It is a death trap.

Hard to read about. Apparently the terrorists tortured the captives. Gouged out eyes, castration. It says the last one alive set the bodies of the terrorists on fire to conceal their identity.

I just listened to an interview with the man in these photographs:


he apparently received a text from his brother trapped inside and immediately departed where he was at to come to the mall and rescue his brother. I don't mean to make light of the events at the mall, but what came to my mind was Forrest Gump where Forrest was trying to rescue his buddy, but kept finding others who needed his help. much in the same way, this man's reason to be there was to get his brother out, but as he came to pockets of survivors he helped them get out to safety. he even stayed on, continuing to help after he received a text from his brother telling him his brother got out.

It is only a matter of when, not if, this horror will reach our homeland.

It gets worse everyday. My heart breaks for the families of the victims.
My prayers are for them and the heroes who have to carry the burden of witnessing the deeds of the most evil of mankind.

Other than sadist enjoyment, is there a purpose to torture innocent civilians at a shopping mall before you kill them. Or is it just to impress the world at how evil you are.

Attacks like this seem to happen almost exclusively in victim disarmament zones, so I probably wouldn't be there.
