If that's true, that was 7 or 8 years after the 3 year grace period to protest being fraudulently declared dead. Sure, he didn't do anything about it for another 8 years, but even if he acted immediately after hearing the news, he would have been out of luck.His parents informed him of his "death" upon his return to Ohio in about 2005, he said

I don't see anything in either article that says he faked his death. They say he disappeared.
