There was no minimum wage when my grandparents were young. Regardless, I was making more than minimum wage before I graduated high school because my labor was worth more. If there are adults whose job skills and/or work ethic are so poor that the best they can do is minimum wage, I feel sorry for their employers.

Yesterday saw a news report about pursuits and the claim was that there was one civilian killed for every 100 high speed pursuits. Company has come out with a cannon for police that shoots a gps device at the speeding car and allows tracking of the vehicle. Apparently $5k for the cannon and $250 per gps shot. Don't know how many civilians will be killed by getting hit with a gps device but something to consider. FYI only.

I held minimum wage jobs when I was in high school and college and saw the lifestyles and hardships of many of my co-workers who worked minimum wage jobs to support themselves and their families. Working these jobs provided me with the best incentive to improve my future by continuing my education so that I could obtain more skills, a better job and make better wages.
