I like academy to. Gander does one thing they do not, you can lay away a gun at Gander for those of us who can not pay big bucks in cash every time you want a new gun. Gander also sells used guns but the prices are terrible from what I've seen at 1960/290 Gander. Gander is more of a firearms store than Academy.

We have some local stores that price themselves at Academy prices or lower. The best prices I get are from Harley's in Yoakum. He consistently under prices Academy, and the transaction goes much faster.
