That's what I do. The inexpensive Lee ones have been pretty consistent for me.

Did anyone measured the consistency in grs of the throw? With digital scale, I had 0.1 grs resolution and I can load to +- 0.1 to 0.2 grs

Powder throws are very repeatable, +/-0.1 gr is not uncommon.

There are stick and flake powders that simply don't meter well. Unique is the classic example of a poor metering powder. However, there are literally dozens and dozens of powders out there for every application and choosing powder that meters well is certainly one of my criteria.

Now, my 11-yr old Texan daughter started hand loading. She helped first in hand polishing finished rounds. Then, asked to seat bullets and press few rounds. She did well for the first time, she let loose some gun powder on the bullet tray.
