Really no such thing as affordable anymore. Most are either being leased long term already or out of reach dollar wise, or have no game left on them unless you go a long way out from DFW and even then they are expensive. . . .

That's kinda' what I was thinkin'. $1,300 will buy a lot of steak and lobster. OTOH, I've never shot a lobster or a cow either, for that matter. It may be more fun than I know?

Shot lots of cows not any fun, deer however are. Steak houses are still cheaper than deer hunting.

I'm paying $700 a year for 164 acres in Jacksboro, I hunt it with my wife's uncle. Luckily, there's whitetail, pig, turkey, among other critters. Look around, there are still decent places that don't break the bank.
