The most puzzling fact, the scheme and the investigation was going back for 5 yrs. All laws anti-gun supported by this crook, has to be repealed as it only was enacted for his fortune.

We'll have to wait but it will be interesting to see what, if any, consequences he and the others who were involved will face.

It seems most here are SHOCKED, SHOCKED I say.
I'm not.
He's a criminal.
His faux anti-gun stance provided cover for his organized gun running scam, while it lasted...
The thing I wonder is how many other organized crime type politicians are in office?
50%?
75%?

I bet there are a few politicians who are popping some anti-anxiety meds wondering if the FBI is on a roll

Most politicians become criminals once in office. A few don't. Normal Citizens are too busy being "normal" to waste time trying to become "connected" to the voters. The days of honest Legislators who serve one term and go back to their lives are over. It's now a career field. Term Limits...

The conspiracy widens.
DALY CITY (KPIX 5) — A Daly City dentist was among the 26 people indicted in a corruption scandal involving State Sen. Leland Yee. Dr. Wilson Lim is accused of setting up an arms deal that involved militants in the Philippines.
According to the complaint, Yee identified him to an undercover FBI agent as the source of the illegal weapons he wanted.
Gun smuggling? That’s a big thing,” said Fernando Austria, a patient.
According to the FBI, the 60-year-old dentist met with Yee and the undercover agent on March 11th at a restaurant in San Francisco. That’s where they allegedly began setting up a $2 million arms deal for M16′s and shoulder launched weapons.

This occurred in California. What makes you think it isn't happening in other states?
Californian politicians don't have the market cornered on greed and corruption.

No, but they do seem to have perfected it.

Not that I didn't believe you but I found this so incredible I had to look for myself. Sure enough the only thing that is coming up is a quick blurb on MSNBC's site and they start that with a swipe at Republicans.
Google site searches for both msnbc and cnn aren't showing anything relevant to his arrest except for comments made on MSNBC's site. I shouldn't be but I'm actually a bit shocked. Talk about a white wash.

I can see the hypocrisy of an anti-gun politician illegally selling guns, but this has nothing to do with the second amendment.
I would be just as outraged by a pro-gun politician who committed the same crimes.
