Thanks for posting these -- very impressive flash animations. I've never delved deeper into the mechanics firearms other than disassembling pistols, so great education for me.

I donwloaded the screen saver. Thanks.

But I get an error saying "Unable to register Shockwave Flash ActiveX control. Please close all other applications and try again."

Have you gotten that error?
Sorry to dredge up an old thread, but I just got the same error message that hi-power posted, when I tried to install that screen saver on another computer.

Hi-power - did you ever resolve the problem? If so, may I ask how? Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Andrew

Jim,

Thanks! Tried that, also tried re-setting virus software controls, IE controls, and so forth. No luck.

Odd thing is flash works for ad videos on web sites and so forth so I do not think flashplayer itself is messed up.

If I find out how to fix it I'll post here. Thanks again.

Good luck. You might try e-mailing Adobe/Macromedia.

Ok, after searching around a little I found this page:
http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/ ... erthread=y

Apparently there is an uninstaller to download from macromedia, then reinstall, and it works.

Since I am not as cmpetent or confident with computers as with 19th century machines, I asked the IT guy for help and gave him the web site (above). He took about 5 minutes to fix the problem; no more error message, the animated STI 1911 screen saver works.

hi-power - I hope this helps.

Andrew

Thanks BobCat. I'll hopefully have time to try it this afternoon. (Dang work always getting in the way!)
