Are you considered a "Honorably Retired Texas Peace Officer"? Fee for that is $25 (new or renewal). See Here...texasmr2 wrote:I am aware of the above rule so thank you. A Constable friend of mine who is also a CHL instructor told me yesterday that I will have to start the whole process over as if I am a new applicant since my license expired in July. I hold a valid TX Peace Officers license (former Deputy Sheriff) as well as a Level III security license and find it odd but I do not have a problem requalifying. He will requalify me free of charge but is he correct in that I need to start all over again?
