txglock21,
I remember the days I could figure what to get them. I miss the days they were little, but that's life, eh? One day they're 10, the next they leave for college. Sigh.
When they got into their teens, I realized I wouldn't be able to figure out what they wanted without asking them, so I asked if they thought cash would be better?
They, of course said, oh yeah, cash would be just terrific.
Earlier on this thread, some mentioned essentially are the girls mature enough, plus good enough to handle cash?
A hearty, qualified YES!
As I mentioned earlier, they do work for me. A lot of it is tough, tedious, dirty, and well kinda awful work. They always cheerfully do more than I requested. So, giving them cash at Christmas is kinda like a bonus for being not only being my granddaughters, but for being good kids and good workers.
They never sass, or act petulant, or well, I could go on about their goodness, but you get the idea.
They're very mature and always have been, even when they were little. They're great kids. And for teenagers this is not always the case. But, it is in this case.

Give them the cash. Up to 10k per year without taxes. I congratulate you on your good fortune! I've been blessed with grand kids that appear to be of the same mold.Abraham wrote:txglock21,
