I've got a BCM handle too... It's fine.
The whole charge operation of the AR leaves something to be desired... The next one I build will probably have this instead:

Presumably, the largest latch would dig a bit more...and all my slings are 2 pt.

Hhhhmm, decisions decisions.
Should you not want to have a sharp pointy object digging into your, midriff, chest, back, etc. Bravo Co.does make a small, which has the same dimensions as an original charging handle, while incorporating the internal improvements that make the Gunfighter such a big improvement over an original.
I have one on an AR that has an S&B Short Dot and Troy BUIS and have no trouble with manipulation while wearing gloves.
Of course, I don't have hands the size of shovels, ymmv.

I love the ambi BCM Gunfighter handles. On top of being easier to use they are designed to take the stress off the roll pin which is where charging handles usually fail. They are priced quite nicely compared to some of the competition.

Pretty interesting. I am totally fine with the way ARs operate but I can see people wanting a side charger. Would make transition from AK to AR easier I would guess. Reciprocating charging handles can induce failures if you put them against cover or get your hand in the way. That's just a training issue though.

For my favorite rifle I went with the BCM medium. I really like it. For me personally the large was just too much.

I also have a Magpul BAD lever, and a Geissele trigger. The rest (other than optics) is just like it came out of the box from Colt. I just haven't found anything that would add to the functionality or pleasure of shooting it.

I have added BAD levers to all my AR's now, mainly so that any time I shoot it's the same muscle memory. I need to retrofit the rest with BCM CH's for the same reason. I just haven't done it yet because the BCM was the last mod to my favorite and I wasn't sure if I'd like it.

I too went the Geissle trigger (SSA-E and a G2S) route, BAD lever (on one) swapped the forearms for the slimmer Keymod style and now BCM charging handles.

My wife refers to my ARs as Barbie dolls...

It's a disease. Maybe we should start ARA - AR Anonymous.

Hi, I'm TAM, and I'm an AR-dict.

Hi TAM!

It all started when.....

TAM,

It would never work. The first step in any program is admitting you have a problem. And my only problem with AR's is I don't have enough, or enough space for many more.

I have a Mod 5 and love it. Of course i installed it on my first AR build which happens to be my first AR I have owned or shot so I cannot compare to anything else.
