And I know of quite a few doctors, nurses and staff that keep one in their bags. I know of one doctor who is fairly critical where he works because of his practice area and it is well known that he carries in his bag, but they don't seem to "know" he carries (a sort of don't ask, don't tell). But he tells a story of once having been shot at by a BG in ER when someone missed the gun, and he's carried ever since. Not in TX, so the laws are very different about posting and effective notice.

IIRC, 30.06 only applies to firearms....and there are a lot more things useful to self-defense than firearms.... ;-)
