I will assume you are going to get a lot of PM's over this one statement. :biggrinjester:
I for one have finally found something I can agree with cb1000rider on. Wonders will never cease.
I have no opinion. I have found by accident especially among the female gender you can expect the wrath of God for just using the word cat in the wrong sentence. :nono:
I love cats…..with gravy.

I don't know why. It's true.

Well, other than an emotional attachment, which could increase their worth. Or if they pull their weight and keep the rodent population down, then that would also increase their value.

Bazinga!

Agreed, he's probably flooded with PMs. Imagine suggesting someone toss away good money like that...

:iagree:
This from a disabled vet of 24 years service.

and I'm tired of being thanked for my service, especially from people who have no clue.

And to stay on topic, I would have done the same thing. Not because I'm a veteran but because I love animals and despise animal cruelty (the non-caring selfish type). (I don't consider harvesting animals for food as cruel)

I love cats.

I recently had 3, but sadly one died recently.

While out cycling, I found him badly injured and covered with fire ants.

My wife and I rushed him to the vet.

He lived 3 years, but his injuries finally killed him.

I miss him.

In California, cats are referred to by their generic name: "Coyote Chow". :leaving

Charges against the vet who saved the dog have been dropped with the consent of the complainant:

This is good news. If the article is accurate, then Georgia does not have a "Necessity" justification/defense, at least not as broad as Texas' §9.22. I base this statement on this sentence from the article "Current Georgia law allows someone to break a window to save a person, but not an animal."

It's unclear to me if the woman got the DA to accept charges, or if she did it at the sheriff's dept. If it's the latter, then I agree with Excaliber about the wisdom of not referring her to the DA. If the DA accepted charges, then he/she is an idiot. Either way, I suspect the defendant will be fine.

At one time being a Veteran did mean something. It meant you had learned self reliance, responsibility and could be counted on more so than the average person in an emergency.

Anymore, not so much.

Just be glad you are not being called a “baby killer” and let it go.
