Interesting story, I've never read anything about that side of the process, glad you were able to get clearance.

I'm literally going through this right now

. Just because I took an online drug and alcohol driving awareness program!! Part of the penalties for getting a minor in possession and minor in consumption charge in 2015. Did you hear back from the governor's office? I'm working on a draft to send to my states rep.

Aug 9th packet received from med board.
Aug 26 went to my old psychiatrist. He wants me to have a psychological exam, could cost 900-1400$
Waiting to hear if insurance will cove it if not I guess I'll never have a CHL.
My understanding of the law was, you needed to have a five-year Gap from being diagnosed to being able to apply for a license. I had a psychiatrist who diagnosed me as chemically dependent, or addicted to a controlled substance if you like. But it did not hinder me from passing my background. Couldn't remember how long ago it was though.

Well, the bureaucracy didn't cause you to blow your stack and go postal so obviously you're of sound enough mind to carry.
Congrats, most likely you'll get yours as soon as the next batch is printed since you've been through this much of the process already.
