I watched the 10:00 news blurb a month or so ago, about that. At first I watched it in disbelief, thinking that I'm not seeing & hearing that correctly. When I switched channels and saw a similar news article, I couldn't help but laugh.

Reminded me of the Pace Picante commercial: "New York City??? Somebody get a rope!"

It's mind boggling to me that somebody can even think up such a ridiculous ordinance. Have they banned woodburning fireplaces in homes yet? Not to mention BBQ grills, smokers, campfires, etc, etc, etc ad nauseum. Makes me want to go :ack:

I took my family to Jefferson, Texas for Thanksgiving a while back.

As we pulled up to the house we were staying at, a man had raked the fall leaves in a pile in the gutter and had set fire to it.

When I saw it and smelled the burning leaves, it brought me back to my childhood for a second. That is until my young son says "hey he can't do that, that's illegal."

We can only wonder how long it will be until all wood fires will be illegal.

I read a quote from him a while back where he was talking about moving out to Round Rock or somewhere on the outskirts of the city.

I hope they all get voted out of office. They are clearly not in touch with reality. Well at least not this reality. And their soy based vegan vision of the world is no a place I want to live in.
