I'm assuming y'all sent the documentation with the "Submit CHL supporting documents" option on the RSD contact page.
The response I got...

* There will be no “In Person” classes or proficiency requirements this year for the instructor renewal.
All I got was a confirmation e-mail of the renewal application stating that they wanted my CHL-90, which I submitted to them. I haven't heard anything since, although I probably did submit it a little early....
Still, I thought they would have had a canned mail response for applications...
I got my response from them either later in the day, or the following day, so I'd expect to see an email at some point tomorrow.

So you have to print out the CHL90, fill it out by hand and mail it in? No electronic format?

You can fill out the PDF form electronically, but have to print/sign/scan afterward.

Yep, frustration factor is increasing. Get through the affidavits and at the final one get the error message. Also, apparently my antique computer did not have the right version of Internet Explorer to even access the site so had to resort to Google Chrome to even get to the site.

I know that the computer process is supposed to simplify things, but sometimes it doesn't seem to work that way.

Perhaps DPS has outsourced their web development to the company that developed the Obamacare website. I recall they were looking for a new gig!

On September 28th I went to the DPS/RSD's "Contact Us" and reported that I get an error when I try to submit an Instructor Renewal Application. I also requested assistance.
A week has passed and the error still appears. Since there has been no response from DPS/RSD, this morning I called. The young lady who took my call confirmed that they are having trouble with on-line renewals and said they hope to have it fixed by October 7th or 8th.
I asked about submitting a paper Renewal Application, and she said to mail in the following: CHL-77, CHL-85, CHL-86, and CHL-90.
If the DPS/RSD web site is not fixed by October 8th, I will submit the paper application along with payment and Pistol Instructor Certification.

This morning (Oct 9) I still get the error, and I still have not heard from the request for assistance I submitted via the "Contact Us ".
