Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy will be the next speaker. No change.

Unfortunately this is correct, I believe.
There are 2 things that can break the stalemate in DC...
1. Republicans being willing to shut down the government until some sanity can be agreed or
2. A Republican POTUS gets sworn in in January, 2017

I don't think it matters. Washington is not the answer to what ails America. God is.

That's the most likely outcome, I agree. McCarthy has been described as "a Boehner clone".

Defeatist attitude? Ultimately, I agree God is in control. I also believe we are to continue the fight and promote Godly principles and our Constitution. I hope I've never given the impression D.C. is the answer. I believe less D.C. is what we need and that is what I'm willing to fight for.

My preference is Louie Gohmert.

My current preference is Pete Sessions. I want a Texas Republican, not a Californian of any stripe. I believe those representing Texas still have courage, they haven't been cowed by the D.C. set and the Liberal Media yet.

Great! Now let's get a real conservative in that position.

My preference is Louie Gohmert.
Louie tells it like it is on home TV. Why not?
After all, the current GOP is what got the current POTUS elected not once but twice. We need new blood and TERM LIMITS.

Good riddance to the non representative Politician that accomplished the final destruction of the Republican Party in many Americans eyes. I've thought for years the Washington establishment had dirt on both Boehner and McConnell, why else would they sit back and support the democrats continued destruction of the Union at every turn. I didn't see anything since 2010 that Nancy Pelosi wouldn't have approved of. The tough talk was there followed by continued capitulation on most issues and the total destruction of conservative "outsider candidates" that were a little too far right for Washington. I don't trust Washington and I don't trust the GOP. Thank you Citizen Boehner for doing absolutely nothing toward restoring this country or keeping a steady ship in the Obama storm. Enjoy your legacy of lies and pandering to the Plunderers, it's a doozy...
