You can watch at:

Thats the announcement video from earlier in the thread, I already saw that. I'm talking about the actual Meeting -which I assume/hope might shed some light on how HPD is planning on handling open carry situations. Like i said, some impressions from anyone who actually attends on how they think HPD is presenting the information to public or how they perceive they might handle it based on their talking points/rhetoric.
Updated link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQGrM_vOH7w. In approximately 3 hours and 40 minutes that link should go live to the meeting in progress.

They are saying a LEO can walk up and ask to see your ID and you have to comply.

A man is starting to lecture the panel about the constitution. He's wearing an OCT shirt.

I here what they are saying, and obviously the audience is loaded with anti-OC anti-CHL. But clearly, there are idiots on both sides of the issue. I do not understand the hangup with presenting an officer with a license / ID if it is asked for.... geeze give it a rest..

Please don't look for ways to make Police Officers lives harder than they already are.

LOL, Chas, I got that part right -- idiot.

Of course they are saying that. Exactly why they fought so hard to keep that out of the law. Having lost the battle they intend to instead harass as much as possible.

Now Terry Holcomb is claiming to be the foremost expert on open-carry and that wrote part of HB910. What garbage!!

OMG? OCT Takeover for crying out loud.. Wow, way to make OC look like a bunch of loons.

Another OCT "witness." This is exactly the type of stuff we don't need.

I thought this was an information and education outreach regarding the new OC law. It appears to be a brainstorming session on how we can prevent OC. It appears that we got the extreme left and the extreme right and not much in between... what a shame.

The chief and the judge have said that a drop-leg holster is a belt holster.

I haven't been able to catch all of this but what the heck are they discussing about creating temporary "educational zones" at the zoo or elsewhere?

Anti-gunner in the audience tried to bring up these issues. The DA is really doing a good job and, for the most part, so is the Chief. I don't agree with everything they said, but overall they are doing a good job. The City of Houston Attorney is working with the Zoo to try to get it "declared" to be an educational institution. She's the only one that bothers me, but it's not a surprise.
