Because for years they were posted 30.06. They have only recently removed them

It was a bit surreal walking into GVMM today. The places where signs were posted are still unrepaired. Glue and damaged stucco. But I smiled and waved at the patrol officer as we passed by heading in opposite directions.
First time I've been to a mall in several years. Very odd feeling that this one is no longer off limits.

How about the theater? Have those signs also been removed from their windows?

Not the last time I was there a month or so ago.

Not sure if anyone has posted an update for this or if a different thread was made, but I went to Grapevine Mills mall to pick up my girlfriend from work (was sick and severely dizzy, couldn't drive herself). According to one of the private (?) Security guards here, the entire property is private and so every guard carries a folded card with 30.06 & 30.07 on them.
Again, if this was already updated or a new thread was made I apologize. This is the first thread that pops up when Google searching "grapevine mills mall carry."

That's fine. If a guard sees something and presents the card to someone he suspects is carrying, that person has received effective notice. For anyone else, there is no effective notice on that property.

Then:
1. They aren't very observant because they're 0-12 im handing me a card.
2. They aren't interested in handing somebody with a gun a card.
3. My concealment is really good.
I hope it's 3.

I was at GVM yesterday. They still have not repaired the stucco where the old no guns signs used to be. Just painted over the area.
No gun signs spotted (entrance 2).

It's because malls are dying.
Survival overrides virtue signalling.

Excaliber,
Do you think on-line purchases are killing malls or ...?
Thanks!

That is certainly one of the biggest factors.
Others include:
- High mall prices
- Crowds (although this is less of an issue than it used to be)
- Crime
- Mini riots among groups of teens
The other big factor is that there's nothing a mall offers that you can't get more easily somewhere else.
A collection of articles on the phenomenon can be found
here.

One of the only draws for me to go to GVM was when our granddaughter was smaller and wanted to eat at the Rainforest Cafe. It was buried inside so I was controlled by the signs on the building. She is older now and the Rainforest (if it is even still there) is no longer of interest to her. She had a favorite clothing store but I rarely got clothes shopping duty for her.
They have nothing that draws me there now.
