This was discussed almost 2 months ago when I saw signs at my sons school.

http://texaschlforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=80546

The consensus then was they are not posting illegally because they are already off limits by statute

They are unless you have permission.

All 31 schools got their new signs today. I noticed this right away and the school resource officer did a double take. I think someone didn't do their homework correctly..... :banghead:

Aren't these the folks who supposedly teach our kids & grandkids & yet that was a very important test like so many ours kids take yearly & they only had 1 to do. :headscratch

Why would anybody be surprised to find evidence of incompetence or illiteracy at a public school?

Guarantee these signs weren't printed up by a teacher.. we're the ones in the classrooms. This was done by an administrator.

Remind them of the administrative incompetence in that school district? They've done that successfully.

Odd situation.

School is govt owned or leased property so you would think SB273 would apply. But SB273 has exemption for 46.03 places, even though 30.06 prosecution is not possible.

So sign can be put up, but is legally meaningless. Any violations would be under 46.03.

Shouldn't it be 30.13 (30.06 + 30.07)?

Dang common core math!
