I haven't received an RSD email confirmation or anything notifying me they have everything. Should I call to make sure?

I'm not getting my hopes up quite yet as I've heard this story from others, however I did take away a few important tidbits from it.

1- Given her level of specificity, it's clear that the operator can see where you are in the process and if you bg check is completed, in review or approved, etc... Not all that surprising.


2- Your timeline starts when they receive your doc, so for folks like me who didn't get a confirmation letter right away, it's the date you sent them. I sent mine in on 1/15/16, and didn't get my confirmation until 1/21/16. She definitely told me that 1/15/16 was my start date.

3- If, and this is a cautionary if, what I was told was accurate, then if you have an uncomplicated app (clean record, no psych issues) and submitted in early to mid January..... Your wait may not be all that much longer. I'm right at 45 days today.

May have just been a smokescreen to get me off the phone, but there was no reason for her to volunteer any more specificity then you're still waiting at this point. However she specifically told me I was in final review and it would be 72 hours I can call back at the end of the week .

Since you didn't physically send it..... I would DEFINITLY follow-up to make sure that RSD is set with everything.

I hadn't checked the website for a few days, but I checked it today and it is showing a list of options to change my address and report my licence missing and stuff. I hope it's not too much longer before the wait is over. I'll just keep waiting until the day arrives. Here's to a pain free process to everyone.
