That these people would be anti-gun has to be the absolute height of hypocrisy doesn't it.

I hear Home Depot called the Oscars and informed them that they want their two boxes of perfectly good washers back.

I read that Michael Moore's boycott of the Oscars freed up an entire row of seats.

I can't remember when I watched any award show including the bunch of country music awards, especially since popular country sounds like trash hip hop these days.

Why can't the Oscars just be about the best films like they are supposed to be? :banghead:
Because its no longer about the Oscars and the performance. Its all now a big club of self congratulating narcissists. Its all about what they and their friends think of themselves. It more important to show you they "feel" for a cause then to actually do something. Disgusts me to no end I have bee working on a fiction book set at the Oscars. Bad guy takes all of the actors and actresses in the building hostage and forces them all to pay a ransom. Can't figure out how to end it yet because every which way I go I end up wanting the bad guy to win!!!
:hurry: Bingo! Give him a cigar. My thoughts exactly. My son was watching last night and I caught the Oscar given to the costume designer for Mad Maxx. She had to get in her 2 cents worth about not polluting the atmosphere. These people are so self important that a panties designer thinks she an authority on the environment.

The Oscars have become as meaningless as the Noble Peace Prize. Oscars are given out politically when a person is nominated or wins because of color, or their stand on political issues. Best picture should be really easy _ WHO SOLD THE MOST TICKETS!!!!!!!!!

Nobel Peace Prize became seriously damaged when Yasser Arafat was awarded one and died when Obama won one. Its all political horse hockey in world that is drifting into insanity.

I just assumed that they have all had plenty of time to become experts on every topic given their lack of a real job. That's why I was so excited to hear from DiCaprio that all of the world's problems have been solved. He said climate change is the biggest issue we face, so hunger, war, poverty, crime, and disease have apparently all been taken care of. :hurry:
