I concur with your decision, I think it's likely best for all.

so much for the typical police quote" ignorance of the law is not an excuse".

I've been receiving similar bogus offers and comments on a .22 rifle I listed last weekend in the RFC forum. It may be Spring Break trolls, liberal anti-gunners and/or unsupervised and misbegotten kids with nothing else to do, who knows? The trolls and I both know that it is disruptive and irritating.

Giving up my CHL...License doesn't mean anything.

Too many things not quite adding up here.

Where was this at?
:iagree: The anti's think we are dumb. You tend to expect people to be like the ones you associate with. If you are a liberal, and all your friends are liberal, and you never talk to a conservative......

So, what did the police do to you, if anything? ( I am playing along here :)).

Giving up your CHL?...Hmmmmm---we all worked hard to get our CHLs and are proud of them. Remember, we paid fees, filled out paperwork, attended a class, did some shooting at a range, and had to go get fingerprints. No way I would "give up" my CHL.

Sigh.

Maybe by "giving up" he means he Offered, Tendered, or Served up his CHL as a form of identification, instead of Surrendered or Forfeited? Perhaps the teller asked for ID and he "gave up" his CHL, and they assumed he was armed...ultimately leading to his ambiguous :mad5 post online. Just speculating :headscratch

It's a scoped CZ 452 Varmint and she is listed in the CHL classifieds as well. Thanks for asking.

I don't believe it either. My bank has 30.07 posted but no 30.06. If what he says the cops said was true (it's not) they wouldn't need any signs. I loved the FDIC question too.

This thread should have been locked right after the OP's for lack of actual facts.

Well, I try to find takeaways in as much as I can. Here, I believe the nugget is that I should carry with the same sense of guilt I might feel when consuming oxygen. None, in other words.

Carry without worry. It's not something to be concerned about.

"supposedly" most of them did....but I don't believe it. I think they "sent out a memo" and we all know what happens to those.

I have a friend looking for a 452. I'll pass it along.
