I don't have a bug out bag. I guess I have what folks are calling a get home bag. I call it my travel bag. Monthly trips made back and forth from DFW to East Texas and it always seems night time when traveling back home. Everyone has different needs so I guess everyone has different suggestions.

One thing I think people forget about is "security." I carry a spare firearm and several mags in my travel bag and I don't want a thief shooting someone with my gun. The bag gets left in the suburban/truck a lot when on the road. Grant it if the thief has bolt cutters and wants it bad enough he will get it, but this will stop the smash and grab guy. . .

That's pretty cool Carlson1 it's a little pricey but I took a quick audit of what it would take to replace the items in my GHB and concluded that is less than 1/3 of what it would protect. It would lock into the child seat carrier of my truck. Thanks for the post.

Edit: I looked through the site the size I need is even cheaper. :cheers2:
