I'm not sure, but doesn't this apply to firearms being brought in for sale or trade or other reason and not those being carried under the authority of a CHL/LTC?

That's the way I read it, I had no intention of unholstering my carry gun (barring an immediate threat to my safety) No one asked, I didn't tell (until here on the forum)
