I do not see any really useful changes. Mainly changes to frustrate the aftermarket vendors and some I would hate. I will keep my gen2 and 3s thank you very much. I see nothing here.

I actually like the finger grooves in my Houge grips.C-dub wrote:What will probably draw the most attention is the lack of the finger groves and the ambidextrous mag release. I like the groves in the ones I've had, but I've never fired one that didn't have them. I know a few guys that have the older models that don't like the groves and wouldn't buy a newer one because of them. Folks that like the groves may just put on a grip like you have done if they want one of these and like finger groves.WTR wrote:I actually like the finger grooves in my Houge grips.C-dub wrote:What will probably draw the most attention is the lack of the finger groves and the ambidextrous mag release. The contract went to the low bidder.JALLEN wrote:This can't be right. We've read nothing but gushing, fabulous reviews of Glocks for years, and everybody knows the Glock is THE finest handgun in history, the ultimate of perfection, with neither fault nor flaw. Almost all police departments, the armed forces and even SEALS have gone to Glock.
So, what's all this blather about "improvements?"
Nah.....and I like my Glocks just fine. The 17M upgrades I most wish I had on my Gen 4 G17 (and G19) are the ambidextrous slide release (I'm left-handed), and the mag-well. I would probably prefer the absence of finger grooves, but I can live with what I have. Since I've gotten used to slingshotting the slide to release it, I don't need a "M" model badly enough to spend hundreds of dollars just to have that slide release.aaangel wrote:Improvements or not. ... to all my glock fan boys, we all know we'll buy one as soon as it becomes available to the public.
I'd go for a G26 first. The 34 is nice, but my only regret about the G43 is that it won't take the 17, 18, and 19 magazines. So a G26 would probably be my next Glock purchase.goose wrote:I need a 19, 17L and 34 before I start doubling up. And I have this nagging pull for a 10mm for some reason. The mag well is cool, but not enough.
The Glock 29 and 20 Gen 4's are two of my favorite guns to shoot.goose wrote: And I have this nagging pull for a 10mm for some reason.
I love the 26. Shoots well. Carries well. Nice capacity with the extensions. The above three are the ones I need for a set so to speak. The 43 and the 26 are my main carries for sure. The Annoyed Man wrote:I'd go for a G26 first. The 34 is nice, but my only regret about the G43 is that it won't take the 17, 18, and 19 magazines. Can I do the G40 MOS with a sight as a hog gun?? It is irrational I suppose but dang that sounds like fun.John Galt wrote:The Glock 29 and 20 Gen 4's are two of my favorite guns to shoot.goose wrote: And I have this nagging pull for a 10mm for some reason.
