They have a really nice park along the Brazos, but last time I was there the vagrants had taken it over. Such a shame.

I was born and raised Texas Baptist, then married a Catholic girl, sent my firstborn to Catholic school. It was a real shock to go to the grade-school Halloween Carnival and find a keg of (complimentary) beer for the adults!
I almost got converted then

What I remember about Waco is that they have a "fine" and quite large Homeless population. Baylor kids even hold Sunday services under the bridge for them. (This was back when my oldest was a student.)

Well, Waco is the 26th largest city in Texas! And, with a population of over 113,000, there's bound to be a few "less fortunate."

All I know is that they make Snicker bars in Waco, and some of the friendliest and nicest people I ever met make Snickers bars (and some other fine candy).
