A boring answer but: Wallet is always on my left front pocket of my Concealed Carry. I don't know what the purpose of carrying ones IDs like a conventioneer is. But I just want to be able to take my wallet out with exposing my handgun. CHL is Drivers licence is in front pocket of my wallet. Most commonly used Credit card behind that and CHL is behind that. I prefer that strangers not know aboul my CHL. and I can not think of a good reason to carry my IDs around my neck like a string of pearls.

It became a running joke to get a CHL badge, sash, tiara, etc. The general consensus was it is a silly idea....and still is. No one needs to know you have a LTC/CHL, unless you want to tell them.
Wait a minute... are you telling me that my CHL badge, sash and tara are just a joke. How else is everyone going to know that I am in control!!! I guess it's true haters are gonna hate.

LOL :lol::

I normally keep the plastic (DL & LTC) in the support-side front pocket; my handgun is carried near primary-side beltline.

So far, when I carry, I carry concealed. That said, if/when I ever choose to try open carry, I would choose to carry the handgun in a belt-mounted, primary-side retention holster.

As far as positioning plastic during open carry, I can see some potential benefit to keeping the plastic closer to the neckline and away from the belt and handgun, because I acknowledge some police officers may be less comfortable with open carry than others, whether by default or due to exigent circumstances.

Perhaps the plastic could be carried in a lapel-clipped badge-holder (available at Office Depot, Walmart, or wherever), with the back of the LTC (magnetic stripe, barcode and standard verbiage) facing outward and visible to the outside. That way, a casual observer---whether police officer or random passerby---can ostensibly see that I am lawfully carrying openly as per my issued LTC, while preserving some degree of privacy. If a police officer stops me, I can reach for the plastic (or they can retrieve the plastic) without my hands approaching my belt or handgun, or rooting around in my pockets or under my clothing.
