Dumb question... Could prolonged use magnetize the gun?

I would think that if it is put on the magnet, and removed often enough it may be possible. I don't know that it would cause any performance issues, with the possible exception of mag release, but I'm far from an expert, I know that I had a multi tool that I kept on a very powerful magnet for a while, at my work bench, and it is now magnetized, but that is more of a help than a hindrance. It was just a surprise the first time I picked up a screw and it wouldn't let go.

I like it. Not a big fan of keeping a loaded Glock's trigger unguarded because I'm the kind of person that would have some bizarre accident happen. Attach a MIC trigger guard and it would be perfect.

Maybe i could use the magnetized gun for some kind of weird advantage. Like to pick up brass at the gun range or something while nobodys looking.

But the laugh would be...you'd only get the steel cased Wolf and other garbage shells.

Brass, copper, lead etc. Are not attracted to magnets.

I'm just a little leary of having a chambered firearm with no trigger guard. It looks nice, but appears to make ND a bigger possibility.

I don't have a magnet in my vehicle but the wife and I each have one on our nightstands that hold handguns. They work great for quick access. Oh yeah I forgot the 2 12 guages loaded with eight OO buck shells each with mounted 300 lumen flashlights by the beds on magnets.

EDIT: Just bought a three pack..... let's see how they work
Arrived today, "installed" on the steel bed rail, worked perfectly to hold the HD shotgun in a ready position, and the fabric bed frame "skirt" drapes normally over the gun. I'm going to secure the magnets to the frame with screws, just to make sure the magnates stay when the gun is removed.. they have so far in the 1/2 doz test removal, as the bed rail is a better magnetic surface than the shot gun... but still i'd rather "know" they will stay.
And as a bonus the third mag was not needed for the shotgun, so I'll try it out on the carry gun holder.
NOTE" Yes, I noticed the sock, thank you it was retrieved and returned to its mate...
