New to this Forum, Thought I would mention that I have been shooting at American Shooting Range and found it OK , Reciently found The 59 Gun range a 25 yard indoor range that is open like 9 to9 and charges $10.00 for all day. Nice little place where I can enjoy shooting and not be over charged. olddudeone

I just joined over at PSC and it was dead last weekend which isn't normal, but me and the wife couldn't believe it. There where more people at orientation then the range.

Howdy, Old Dude! I can't say I like anything but the price of the 59 Gun Range .... too many lead particulates in the air there for me.

I would be remiss if I didn't invite everyone that lives in the Houston area to join PSC.
It's a high quality range.
You can come out and tour the range on Saturday or Sunday from 8 until 3. Your welcome to look but only members or their guests may shoot.

If you miss that date, it'll be August 27th before your next chance.
I plan to be at the range at the IPSC match on Saturday.

They have a high volume of inexperienced shooters at the 3-21 yard range so they keep a sharp eye on them. At 50-100 yards they patrol a little less. The 200 yard + range is a ghost town at ASC, there are no range officers. The shooters on the line decide when they want to open fire or retrieve targets. When I was younger one of the range officers was breaking in a sweet DSA FAL, we got to talking and he let me shoot it a bit. The other day he was watching me like a hawk waiting for me to mess up. It was getting on my nerves so I finally turned and asked "How's that FAL shooting?" Him - "Huh?" Me - "I helped you break in that DSA FAL you picked up." Him - "Oh yeah? Man that was 5 years ago." And he walked off smiling. It pays to know people...or shoot at 200 yards.
