Charles, not to divert the topic but I'm curious as an aside if/how that would affect the sanctuary city issue - isn't that their perspective too? I'm dead set against illegal immigrants, being a legal one myself but have struggled to understand the logic of not assisting ICE in this regard.
The new administration can and should prosecute any elected official to conspired to violate federal immigration laws. However, the only thing I've heard is that federal funding may be cut off. If I were king, I'd do both.

This. Most of the 2A infringement we deal with every day traces back to the Commerce Cause. If Congress were to pass a bill narrowly defining the scope of that clause to the original intent, most of our issues would be resolved.

From what i have been reading about this, it probably WILL be going to SCOTUS. With Trumps appointments this hopefully will be a major game changer!

That's my hope too. I wonder if this was planned as a test case from the start or they were really that naive to think Obama wouldn't try to crush freedom.
