I agree! Holster protects the gun also.

Depends on the pistol platform.

There's no way I'm sticking a loaded gun in my pants without something reliable covering the trigger.
A snagged shirt tail, accidentally sticking your finger in there while concealing, drawing in a hurry, it's an accident waiting to happen.
Even worse if you carry appendix. Shooting yourself in the femoral artery has life-ending consequences.
I don't have a problem with the Clip itself, but I would absolutely require something like this trigger guard if I was ever going to consider that clip.
YMMV

That clipdraw combined with something like the Zak holster, which only covers the trigger guard, is a safe and valid minimalist way to carry.

You might check out the versacarry. It has a similar minimalist form factor, but it covers the trigger. I use mine with my S&W Shield and like it a lot. It basically feels like just tucking the gun in your waistband, but it holds it quite securely. Just be aware that you will need to break it in when you first get it, and make sure you get the right size. Oh, and they're made in Texas.

Not really.

I bounce from the idea of a tiny bodyguard 380 but I really hate the idea of leaving my favorite 9mm round, then i think .. well, a shield... ooh no, the glock 26! oh but wait, the Kel-Tec P11 or PF9 is much cheaper, but then i could carry the 3913 i do have. lol. A decent lotto windfall and i'm buying all them!!!

I really liked my 3913. Carried it for years, but then I handled a Shield 45 and it was no contest. Low on funds so I traded the Smith 9 for the Smith 45. I really, really like the Shield 45. It is now my off duty gun. I recently used it through my TCOLE Firearms Instructor course and it functioned flawlessly. I was the only non Glock 40 in a class of 9 officers.

That is an EXTREMELY dangerous attitude to have.

Your confidence could breed disaster, IMHO. It doesn't matter how long the trigger pulls is. If it's in your pocket, add a ring of keys, some pocket change, and the wrinkles in the fabric of your pocket, then the long movement of sitting or bending down and an ND is certainly possible with any gun. If it's IWB, cinched up pretty tight, the folds in the fabric of your shirt can become quite stiff with normal body movements.

Yes.
To each their own. DONE
In most cases, sure, but carrying this way puts others at risk, not only yourself, and not just because of the possibility of an ND (no matter how unlikely you may think it is) but also because a clip is less secure than a holster and can allow the gun to shift during day to day activities, putting it into an awkward or unexpected location or orientation when you need it RIGHT NOW.
EDIT: Don't take it from us, take it directly from the Techna Clip website...
