So we've all been hearing a lot about "fake news" in the real (?) news lately, but I guess I did not realize that it was such an evolved industry as this.

I don't get it. Somebody explain it to me, seriously. What's the purpose? Somebody goes to a lot of expense and trouble to operate these fake news businesses. For what? Money? Aren't there better and more honorable and easier ways to make money? And no, I'm not upset that I got snookered (well, not too much anyway). I just really don't understand the purpose of it. :headscratch
